BIANCA JH BYUN

Looking back at myself as a child, I see that I have always been curious about different places and people. I was born and raised in South Korea but left my country at the age of 14 to study abroad. I chose to play classical music: my instrument is the cello since I was six years old. I didn’t realize it as a child, but the path I took as a musician gave me direct opportunities to travel around the world! Jackpot! 🙂

I met the most truly dedicated teachers and musicians who helped me enormously through my study time. They gave me great tools and inspiration to be a cellist, a musician, and a person.

Observing my own experiences as a musician, I am fascinated by how we as musicians use our bodies in the most dedicated way with tremendous demands on concentration.

The commitment between ourselves and what we do is an intensive relationship. It demands many hours of practice as well as years of education with good teachers and much of financial support. Unfortunately, both the physical and mental state of musicians, and the help and support for musicians, are in poor condition.

Over the last ten years, through intensive yoga practice, I have gained both the physical and mental strength to give positive impacts in my daily life. But I was seeking an even more direct tool to help me be a better musician.

In 2018 I found the next big passion in my life: Timani!

In my opinion, Timani is one of the most effective and direct tools to help musicians. Timani has more than 150 exercises to differentiate and retrain muscle systems in body. It often results quickly and positively in better playing and singing in an effortless way. Click here to read more about Timani:
